As an Inventory Specialist Supervisor, you will oversee and optimize our inventory control processes, manage cycle counting and physical inventories, and lead the inventory team to maintain accuracy and efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring our materials meet our exacting standards and are available when and where they are needed.Whether you're looking to elevate your leadership skills or take your supply chain experience to the next level, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a culture built on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.The Inventory Materials Supervisor is a "player-coach" role responsible for the daily integrity of AWE's warehouse, inventory, assembly, quality, and shipping operations. This individual must balance high-level organizational strategy with hands-on execution, ensuring that department metrics are met through efficient practices, proactive problem-solving, and direct team supervision. We are seeking a leader who takes pride in a tidy, high-functioning environment and possesses the long-term vision to elevate our inventory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesHands-On Inventory and System ExecutionPerform daily maintenance in Epicor system to ensure 100% inventory accuracy and investigate transaction workflows to resolve discrepancies.Execute the reorder point process to prevent stock-outs and oversee the cycle count program to ensure monthly goals are met.Conduct quality control audits on inbound receipts and manage the physical inspection and adjustment of returns and "B" inventory.Operational Execution and Quality AssuranceEnsure production picking accuracy and maintain proper staffing levels to meet daily shipping needs.Identify and implement practical solutions for process improvements, including the creation of Standard operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline daily operations.Maintain "Gold Standard" housekeeping and 5S standards for the receiving dock, quality control areas, and all inventory spaces.Active Team LeadershipDirectly manage the inventory team, including coaching, documenting accomplishments, and conducting annual performance reviews.Handle administrative leadership tasks such as managing time off, schedule changes, and approving overtime hours.Establish benchmarks for team goals and maintain a healthy, team-focused culture through consistent cross-training and leadership by example.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary degree or professional certifications (APICS, CPIM) preferred.3-5 years in a manufacturing environment with complex products and multi-level bills of materialMinimum of 5 years of experience managing peopleCertification: Must be Forklift CertifiedTechnical SkillsProven ability to navigate WMS/ERP systems (Epicor experience is a significant plus)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Deep knowledge of Material Handling, Shipping, and Inventory Control processesSoft SkillsStrong writing, math, and professional communication skills for reporting and interdepartmental collaborationStrong attention to detail and organizationAbility to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while working under pressurePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of time, climb ladders and reach overheadAbility to frequently lift, carry, or move items up to approximately 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 poundsAccountabilitiesSuccess in this role is measured byConsistent achievement of metrics tied to inventory accuracy and department goalsThe maintenance of a highly organized, 5S-compliant inventory and quality departmentActive support of interdepartmental initiatives and a clear desire for personal and team growthAdditional informationWe offer comprehensive benefits, including health, Dental, 401 (k) with Company match, Paid Time Off, and Employee-to-Employee Bonus Benefits.
