Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon (Complex Benign Gynecology)

Job Description The Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at our organization, a prestigious academic medical institution, is in search of a full-time fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures. This role will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology.Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional clinical, surgical, and educational abilities, along with a keen interest in research endeavors.Key Responsibilities:Conduct surgical and non-surgical evaluations for intricate gynecologic conditions, including endometriosis, fibroids, and pelvic pain, particularly for patients with complex medical and surgical histories.Perform a range of surgical procedures from basic to advanced levels in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and participate in shared gynecology and labor & delivery on-call rotations.Assist in delivering clinical, educational, and simulation training to residents and medical students.Act as a core faculty member, mentoring and teaching fellows.Engage in quality improvement projects within the department and contribute to ongoing research initiatives.Serve as a role model for clinical staff by showcasing up-to-date medical knowledge, sound clinical judgment, technical proficiency, and compassionate care.Be part of the Labor and Delivery backup team.Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair or Division Director.The selected provider will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes obstetricians, urogynecologists, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, gynecologic oncologists, and mental health professionals.Compensation will be aligned with qualifications and experience, complemented by an attractive benefits package, relocation support, and opportunities for professional growth, making this a competitive offer both nationally and locally.Salary Range: $300,000 - $350,000*The organization provides this salary range in accordance with New York City's Salary Transparency regulations. The stated range pertains to full-time positions and does not include bonuses, clinical incentive pay, or benefits. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including internal equity, specialty, training, and community needs.Qualifications:Applicants must possess a medical degree and have successfully completed a four-year ACGME-accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology. Candidates should be board eligible or board certified in this specialty. Additionally, completion of an AAGL-accredited fellowship in Complex Benign Gynecology/Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery is required, with a preference for those with significant robotic surgical experience.
