Medical Assistant / Therapy Tech

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Hybrid Medical Assistant / Physical Therapy Aide to join our multidisciplinary team. Position Overview: The Hybrid Medical Assistant / Physical Therapy Aide will support both our medical and physical therapy teams, providing essential services in a dynamic and diverse role. This position involves assisting our Medical Doctor (MD) with weight loss injections, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), B-12 injections, and IV therapy, as well as supporting our physical therapy department. In addition, you will be responsible for inventory management and ordering supplies in coordination with our MD. Key Responsibilities: Medical Assisting Duties: Administer weight loss injections, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), B-12 injections, and IV therapy under the supervision of the MD. Prepare and educate patients regarding their treatment plans and procedures. Track inventory levels, order medical and therapeutic supplies, and manage stock in collaboration with the MD. Assist in performing basic laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures as needed. Document patient information and treatment details accurately in the electronic health records (EHR) system. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and follow-up visits. Physical Therapy Aide Duties: Assist physical therapists with patient exercises and rehabilitation activities. Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas to ensure a safe and effective therapy environment. Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and equipment usage. Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the physical therapist. Support administrative tasks related to physical therapy scheduling and documentation. Qualifications: Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred. Previous experience in a medical assistant role, physical therapy setting, or related field is advantageous. Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and EHR systems. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail. Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and dedication to patient care. Basic CPR and First Aid certification required (or willing to obtain). Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am-1pm, 2pm-7pm ; 1 hour lunch between 1 and 2pm Saturday: 9am-12pm ( possibly some shift) Currently a 4-10 schedule We are looking to expand hours/days in the very near future Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Paid time off Medical Specialty: Physical & Rehabilitation Medicine Schedule: Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Medical assistant: 1 year (Required) Language: Spanish (Preferred) Shift availability: Day Shift (Required) Night Shift (Required) Work Location: In person
