Project Manager

SUMMARYK&K Inc. project managers execute projects and serve as the primary point of contact between K&K Inc. and client project teams. Project managers bear the primary responsibility for executing projects on time, on budget, and in a way that ensures customer satisfaction. They are also primarily responsible for the majority of project controls and customer communications. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Execute projects on time and on budgetAccurately bid project resources and timelinesEffectively employ project controlsProactive project planningUnderstand contractual commitments and administer agreement with subcontractors; serve as a project's "Chief Risk Officer"Secure all necessary agreements and purchase orders for project needsMaintain necessary project oversightConduct sufficient site visits to ensure projects are being executed effectivelyEstablish effective communication protocols w/jobsite personnel to effectively track progress and administer controlsManage client partnershipsEffectively communicate with clients through required reports and meetings to avoid surprisesUnderstand and execute client deliverablesOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain working knowledge of applicable electric codes, including NEC and NFPAAdhering to and enforcing K&K Inc. safety policy and advocating for the desired safety cultureDevelop a rapport with new and existing clients, and provide support that will continually improve the relationshipCommunicate back to internal leaders/managers (NO SURPRISES)Stays familiar with and consistently administers company policies and proceduresSchedules subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure completion of the jobKEY RESULTS AREAS:Project profitabilityClient service and effective partnershipsProject controls/procedural adherenceK&K Inc. process improvementsKEY BEHAVIORS:Proactivity and intentionality in planning and executionIntense focus on project costs and profit marginsResponding timely to clients, team members and managementPursuing continued improvement/growthWORK ENVIRONMENTThis position will office out of one of K&K Inc.'s field offices with frequent visits to jobsites. Employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration and inclement weather, including heat and humidity. The noise level in the work environment can be loud (typical midstream/downstream work sites). POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position. Construction projects operate on six 10-hour days. While project managers are not required to work this schedule, the position will inevitably require some long hours and weekend work. TRAVELTravel is required for this position, as project managers are expected to visit projects twice a month. Overnight travel will be expected.
