Protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies.The Work The Regional Applications Systems Software Engineeris to act as the primary software technical liaison between Regional Applications (RA) cross functional product teams, and Systems Engineering and Verification, Integration and Test RMAs, for system engineering-related efforts.The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating the systems and software design efforts for the C2BMC Battle Manager / Sensor Resource Manager Agile cross-functional product team.Typical Responsibilities include:1. Lead and support system-level design activities for the software subsystem, including behaviors, data flows, and interfaces2. Perform technical analysis to evaluate design approaches, identify risks, and support integrated decision making3. Translate system requirements to logical software architectures, algorithmic approaches, and software design4. Support integration efforts with other software product teams5. Conduct trade studies and design evaluations6. Develop and maintain technical documentation7. Support software verification activitiesThis role is best suited for either- A systems engineer with strong technical depth in software development- A software engineer with strong technical depth in systems engineeringBasic Qualifications: Basic qualifications for the position include1. Must possess Secret clearance2. Demonstrated experience in applying system engineering principles to design and analysis of complex software systems3. Demonstrated experience in decomposing requirements into practical, effective design solutions4. Demonstrated experience in producing systems and software design artifacts5. Demonstrated experience in strong, independent problem solving skills6. Must be familiar with software development and software design, and show ability to evaluate software implementationsDesired Skills: Desired skill for the position include1. Familiarity with engineering and collaboration tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, etc2. Strong background in system design, architecture, or performance analysis3. Experience with algorithm design and development4. Experience with system integration and interface development5. Experience with performing formal and informal trade studies6. Experience working on an Agile cross functional team7. Experience in Missile Defense Domain solutions8. Specific experience in Missile Defense Sensor systems9.
