Job SummaryThis position leads the design and development of electrical control systems for vehicle applications, bridging customer requirements with technical solutions. The role combines electrical engineering, embedded software development, and systems integration expertise to deliver tested, production-ready control systems while maintaining direct customer engagement throughout the development lifecycle.Job Functions:Capture and document customer system/hardware/software requirementsDesign and develop system wiring, including wiring schematics, conductor, connector and terminal selectionSpecify, design and develop control system electronics hardware, sensors, and actuatorsDesign, develop, and verify software and control algorithms to meet requirementsPerform data analysis and system control tuning/calibrationPerform system testing and troubleshooting, ensuring a control system meets requirementsEffectively interface with co-workers and customers in meetingsMinimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer scienceMinimum 10+ years of post-graduate working experience in controls (automotive or military vehicle level preferred)Experience with at least one of the following software languages: MATLAB/Simulink/State flow, C, or C++Experience with CANbus, Serial, and Ethernet communicationsAbility to read, understand and create electrical schematics, and a good understanding of electrical and electronics basicsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write concise technical reportsInitiative to work independently and handle several assignments simultaneouslyAble to manage time to ensure projects are completed by deadlineAbility to independently absorb new technical assignmentsMust be willing to support limited travelUS CitizenEqual Opportunity Employer, Disability/Veteran
