Software Tools Engineer

Role: Software Tools Engineer Duration: 6 Months plus extension Location: R&D - 5021 Duffy Drive NE, Cedar Rapids, IA Come onsite (hybrid schedule) Description The group is looking for a Software Engineer to be responsible for supporting our company's ongoing projects. · You will be working closely with your team members to ensure that all software requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. · Responsibilities include working with a team of engineers, creating software product schedules, ensuring quality of software, and delivering said products on time. · To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in software development and the ability to take a set of revolving requires and ensure the product is to customer expectations. · A Bachelor's degree is required, and experience in GNSS product development is desirable. · You will be tasked with supporting both internal and external software tool projects to support the organization's strategic direction. · You will be required to work with local and international groups to successfully release innovative products. Requirements Responsibilities · Design and implement new methods of automated tool test integration for current and upcoming Location products · Received requirements and create quality tools · Contribute ideas and follow through with designs for upcoming Location-based features · Continued support and evolution of new and existing tools will be required · 25% Travel Required Minimum Qualifications · Bachelor's degree or master's degree in engineering, business or related field. · Familiarity with the continuous integration process and the use of GIT · Ability to code C, C++, Python, Java (Android) Job Type: Contract Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: Cedar Rapids, IA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: REST: 1 year (Preferred) Java: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
