Account Manager

Henniges Automotive has an opportunity for an Account Manager for the General Motors team. The Account Manager is responsible for administering the daily commercial activities for new and existing business to achieve the financial objectives of Henniges Automotive within the General Motors customer business unit while maintaining customer satisfaction. The Account Manager must possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, work independently, and think outside the box while working within corporate policies and guidelines. Qualifications/RequirementsCoordinate and monitor cross-functional activities for the completion of customer quotations on existing and new business opportunitiesOrganize, prepare, and submit for approval new business opportunitiesComplete customer quotation cost and price documentsObtain and review customer contracts and Purchase Orders for correct pricing, terms, and conditions, etc.Provide commercial support for program teamsMaintain cost and price histories and ensure consistency with customer cost breakdowns.Maintain customer communicationsCoordinate internal and Customer Open Issues meetings for current production businessOrganize relevant supporting information for customer commercial audits and reviews and support accordinglyMonitor and communicate customer satisfaction statusCoordinate activities to support customer cost reduction effortsAttend customer meetings as a representative of Henniges Automotive where appropriateEstablish, develop, and maintain positive working relationships with customer buyersResolve Henniges plant commercial issues with customer purchasingMaintaining and improving product and program marginsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.Local candidates only.Education and ExperienceMinimum: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting or Finance. Technical degree preferred.Minimum: 3+ years of commercial experience in the automotive industry.Skills and AbilitiesPreferred experience with General Motors and solid working knowledge of the General Motors RFQ process (GDIMPs) and ECR system. A clear understanding of OEM systems is beneficial. Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational, and analytical skills are required. Basic knowledge of accounting and financial systems is necessary. Strong office computer skills essential (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
