Volunteer Program Coordinator (Hybrid Preferred)Philly Peace in Progress – Philadelphia, PAAbout UsPhilly Peace in Progress is a community‐centered nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth, families, and individuals through empowerment programs, violence‐prevention initiatives, and resource connection. We focus on creating safe spaces, building strong relationships, and helping people move toward stability and success.Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Volunteer Program Coordinator to help oversee, support, and strengthen our youth and community programs. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others and looking to gain valuable leadership and program management experience to enhance their résumé.We offer some remote opportunities, but we strongly prefer hybrid volunteers who can support both virtual tasks and in‐person program days when needed.If you want to make a meaningful impact while building professional skills, come join our team.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning, organizing, and coordinating youth and family programsSupport program sessions (virtual and in‐person) and ensure smooth operationsCommunicate with participants, families, and volunteers regarding schedules, updates, and program needsMaintain program documentation, attendance logs, and resource listsHelp train and support new volunteers as neededCollaborate with the Executive Director and Program Assistant to strengthen program deliveryProvide feedback and ideas to improve program engagement and effectivenessEnsure tasks and communication are completed in a timely and dependable mannerQualificationsStrong passion for community service, youth development, and helping othersExcellent communication, organization, and follow‐throughAbility to work independently and as part of a teamComfortable with hybrid work (remote tasks + in‐person program days)Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Chat)Dependable, professional, and committed to consistent communicationAbility to commit to at least 6 monthsTime CommitmentHybrid preferred.
