Daily functions are under the direction of the Staff Development Director and is responsible for participating in the training, planning, organizing directing, coordinating, and evaluation of education and training programs for the facility staff in collaboration with the Staff Development team. The Nurse Educator is cross trained in all nursing orientation programs and assists in the implementation of training programs for the facility. This position helps conduct monthly New Employee Orientation classes and assumes other training and development activities assigned by the Director of Nursing and Staff Development Director. This position serves as facility resource in the development of goals, standards of practice and quality assurance for health-related training and credentialing requirements. This position serves as a liaison to universities and colleges to include Intellectual Disability in curriculum and use O’Berry Center as a training site and for recruitment.Responsibilities Include The Nurse Educator will assist with the coordination of external nursing programs affiliated with the facility and help manage the educational and training programs for all nursing services and other service personnel within the center. Assist the Director of Nursing Services in assuring compliance with the Nursing Practice Act, NF Standards, OSHA Regulations and mandated Department of Health and Human Services policies, through the development of educational materials, training curriculum and instructional sessions. Assist with Nursing Aide I training at the facility and the training of new nurses. Participate in the orientation of new nurses at the Center and participates in campus audits with Quality Assurance team and other team members.Knowledge Skills And Abilities/Management PreferencesThis is an Anticipated Vacancy***Salary Grade Range: $62,044 - $102,371 A Sign-on bonus of $10,000 may be offered to the successful applicant (s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.
