POSITION SUMMARY:
The controller is responsible for managing the accounting team and all accounting functions of the business including managing the ledger, financial statements, invoicing, job costing, A/P, A/R, treasury, cost management, financial controls, expense management, reconciliations and other accounting and financial functions. Qualified candidates will have accounting management experience in an industrial, manufacturing or service setting, preferably in a controller or comptroller role.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
Manage and support the accounting team
Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures
Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
Develop and support short and long-term financial and operational strategies
Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines

Maintain internal control safeguards for the recognition of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
Develop and enforce internal controls, workflows and procedures

Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to perform high work volume with minimal errors and supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and customer transactions
Experienced in MS Excel & Word
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP System
Must be proactive, self-motivated, detail oriented and reliable
Must have the ability to multitask and work independently, as well as in a team environment
Physical Demands include, but are not limited to:

This role is primarily in an office setting
