Operations Manager - Flatbed

Job Description One of the largest home delivery and distribution companies in the U.S is seeking an experienced Flatbed Manager. The Flatbed Manager position provides support to home delivery services for the designated market area. This role will also be the liaison between SLB Freightage and our contracted partner. Position is responsible for managing daily operations of flatbed drivers and responsible for generating positive customer satisfaction. This is a hybrid position that requires mandatory travel on a daily and/or weekly basis.Job Duties:Monitoring employee Delivery DriversDelivering satisfactory customer feedbackRoutingDelivery Team Check InEnsure the performance of customer contract requirements at service levels that exceed the customer's standardsRecruitment and retention of flatbed driversManage driver scheduling, routing, and maintain positive relationship with drivers and contract representativesDelivering on SOPs and metric standards daily.Qualifications / Requirements:3PL experienceComputer experience a must Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook proficientExcellent written / verbal communication skillsLeadership and motivational skillsMust be willing to work flexible scheduleMust have Monday thru Saturday availabilityMinimum of 2 years transportation/logistics management experienceExcellent interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilityKnowledge of DOT regulations a plusExperience in managing a P&LAbility to travel within managed area to meet with drivers and contracted partner as needed/requiredMust have reliable transportationAbility to maintain communication and follow up consistently via email and text on all conversations/issues
