Medical Assistant Podiatry Clinic

Medical Assistant Podiatry Clinic Foot & Ankle Specialists, P.C., a division of US Foot & Ankle Specialists, is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our busy podiatry clinic. In this role, you'll work closely with physicians providing hands-on patient care and assisting with in-office procedures in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of clinical care and patient interaction and wants to expand their skills in a specialty practice. We offer hands-on training, clinical in-service training for employees, and a supportive team environment.Responsibilities:Welcome and room patients, take vital signs, and update medical histories in the EMRAssist physicians with minor procedures, wound care, injections, and post-operative carePerform digital X-rays and assist with podiatric services such as nail care and diabetic shoe fittingsApply dressings, strappings, and durable medical equipment (DME)Process lab specimens and assist with prescription requests and insurance verificationsSchedule appointments, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer serviceMaintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instrumentsQualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredCompletion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experienceCMA or RMA certification preferredExperience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environmentDetail-oriented, professional, and patient-focusedAbility to travel between local office locations, as neededProficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Medical Assistant Benefits Offered:Health Insurance (Single & Family plans available)Life InsuranceDisability Insurance401(k) plan with Company MatchEmployee Discount ProgramPaid Time OffPaid Holidays
