We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Responsibilities: Source and procure materials, components, and services required for manufacturing operations. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and service. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and quality assurance teams, to understand requirements and ensure alignment. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information. Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to procurement and supply chain management. Participate in supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and efficiency. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and facilitate resolution of issues. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus. Or equivalent to 3 years of experience. Proven experience in procurement, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software/systems. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes in a positive manner. Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles is desirable. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
