Systems Engineer (Advanced Career Level)
Overview
In this role you will contribute to training systems development as a Systems Engineer within Lockheed Martin’s RMS Core. You will collaborate with program systems engineering leads and sub‑discipline architects to design and analyze customized system architectures. You will evolve MBSE practices, support configuration management, and interface with cross‑functional teams and customers to ensure compliant, traceable designs. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with leads and architects to define system design and architecturePerform system architecture analysis using MBSE tools to capture use cases, interfaces, and timingEvolve MBSE strategy to align with scope and future opportunities across the programSupport the Configuration Design Management (CDM) team in design release streamsAnalyze and design functional, logical, and behavioral architectures using MBSE tools and DOORS/DOORS NEXTServe on Integrated Product Teams to manage scope, cost, and schedule and interface with customers
Key requirementsBachelor in related discipline or equivalent experience with 9 years, or Master’s with 7 years of experienceExperience supporting cross‑functional reviews during the acquisition lifecycle (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)Experience applying system engineering processes in an Agile environmentProficiency with SysML, UML, DODAF, UPDM; experience with CameoStrong background in Configuration and Data Management (CDM)Prior customer engagement experience and ability to communicate technical concepts to external stakeholdersU.S. citizenship and eligibility for Secret security clearancecross‑functional collaborationclear communication with stakeholdersteam orientationMBSE (model-based systems engineering)SysML, UMLDODAF, UPDM
