Engineering Technician II - Product Engineering Support
Job Title: Engineering Technician IILocation: Fargo, NDSalary Range: $30 - $37/hourIntroductionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to support our design engineering team. The role involves prototype bring-up, PCB assembly troubleshooting, testing, and debugging. This position requires working primarily on a PC and using specialized software to create programs for flying probes.Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or equivalent experienceMinimum one year of experience in electronics, manufacturing, engineering, or a related industry; three or more years of related experience is preferredExperience troubleshooting PCB subassembly failure modes to identify root causeUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and electronic componentsUnderstanding of test equipment and methods (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 yearsPreferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)Three years of hands-on experience troubleshooting PCB subassembly failure modes to identify root causeThree years of hands-on soldering experience with fine-pitch surface mount componentsExperience running and maintaining 3D printersDay-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)Perform inspection, testing, and failure analysis to determine causes of defective electronic assembliesResearch, gather, and summarize data for use in determining root causeRework products per company and industry standardsBuild test harnesses, loads, fixtures, and/or circuit boards to support product design as requiredDocument and maintain records relating to work performedInform supervisor and engineering of process or design problems and assist in corrective actionsConduct manual test of electronic circuits and PCBs according to engineering instructionsCommunicate with both internal and external customers in a professional and effective mannerCreate or update test documentation when required for prototype productsDesign and build advanced engineering test boxesPerform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and engineersTrain other personnel as requiredCompany Benefits & CultureComprehensive health and wellness benefitsSupportive and inclusive work environmentOpportunities for professional growth and developmentFor immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
