We have an exciting opportunity as an AVP of Commercial Insurance for a reputable real estate firm. The AVP of Commercial Insurance will lead and oversee the pre-closing compliance insurance reviews for commercial real estate lenders. This role is responsible for ensuring that all insurance requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner, while upholding compliance with investor and lender standards.As a key leader in the Commercial Insurance team, the AVP will drive operational excellence within the department. This role includes managing a team of analysts, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with senior leadership to enhance the department's processes.This is a hybrid opportunity in the Greenville, SC area.Essential Duties & FunctionsOversee the pre-closing compliance insurance review process for commercial real estate loans, ensuring accuracy and adherence to lender/investor requirements.Conduct thorough reviews of insurance forms, identifying areas of non-compliance and guiding the team on adjustments.Work closely with insurance agents and brokers to modify coverage levels as needed and ensure full compliance with lender/investor standards.Develop and review detailed insurance reports for clientsMentor, coach, and provide quality control reviews for a team of analysts to ensure consistency and accuracy.Partner with internal teams, commercial lenders, and investors to resolve discrepancies and address complex insurance-related inquiries.Collaborate with senior leadership to drive improvements in insurance review processes, including training programs, technology enhancements, and workflow efficiency.Address deal-related questions, exceptions to policy, and waiver requests in a timely manner to facilitate smooth transactions for clients.Assist with onboarding and training of new hires, ensuring a high standard of competency across the team.Other duties & projects as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, or related field preferred.5+ years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance, with a focus on real estate plus experience performing reviews for lenders.Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and manage teams.Strong understanding of loan document interpretation and investor/lender insurance requirements.Proven ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Familiarity with commercial real estate financing processes and regulations.Experience leading process improvements or managing technology implementations in an insurance context.For confidential consideration, please email careers@forgesc.com or apply directly.
