Structural Field InspectorLocation: Hammond, INJob Type: Full-TimePay: $30–$38/hour + BenefitsAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Structural Field Inspector to perform inspections within heavy industrial manufacturing environments. This role involves evaluating structural components, identifying deficiencies, and documenting findings to support safety and compliance.This is a hands-on field position working with a variety of structures and equipment, with reporting reviewed by engineering teams.ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections on:Overhead cranes and crane runwaysBuilding structures (columns, roof trusses)Walking/working surfacesConcrete structuresBelow-the-hook lifting devicesIdentify and document structural deficienciesCapture findings using a tablet and digital photosUpload inspection data and assist with report preparationWork with engineering teams to finalize reportsOperate manlifts and access equipment as neededQualifications1–5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:Structural inspectionOverhead crane inspectionNDT (non-destructive testing)QA/QC inspection in industrial environmentsExperience in manufacturing, steel, or heavy industrial facilitiesAbility to read blueprints and/or AutoCAD drawingsComfortable using tablets and digital reporting toolsStrong communication and documentation skillsValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordPreferred:OSHA 10 or OSHA 30Manlift certificationNDT certifications (UT, MT, PT, VT)Schedule & TravelMonday–Friday, typically 8-hour shifts starting around 7:00 AMOccasional nights and weekends as neededSome travel required; all travel expenses coveredBenefitsHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k)Profit SharingCompany vehicle (based on assignment)
