Summary Of Job FunctionsThe Production Operator supports high-volume Clean & Screen (CNS) operations within Sagent’s Indy facility (Whiteland, IN). This role is responsible for the preparation, screening, and movement of telecom network equipment—such as router- and gateway-type devices—through defined production processes. The position is intentionally production-focused and process-driven, emphasizing consistency, quality, and throughput rather than technical troubleshooting or repair.Production Operators play a critical role in ensuring equipment is properly cleaned, inspected, screened, documented, and prepared for the next stage of processing or deployment while adhering to established work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements.Shift Hours: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm. Flexibility may be required depending on business needs.Key Responsibilities And DutiesPerform Clean & Screen production activities by following detailed written and verbal work instructionsConduct functional testing and basic operational screening of telecom network equipment using provided instructions, tools, and processesSupport RF testing and system screening activities under established procedures and supervisionLoad firmware, complete configuration steps, and validate results as instructedPerform cosmetic inspections, cleaning, labeling, and unit preparationAssist with quality screening and basic quality control (QC) checks to ensure product standards are metAccurately document/record test, production, screening, and inspection results in system tools, logs, or trackersMove materials, equipment, and units between workstations to maintain production flow and throughputCrosstrain and provide support across multiple production or operational areas as business/production demand requiresIdentify and escalate process issues, defects, or concerns to leads or supervisorsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policiesComply with all safety, quality, and operational guidelinesPerform other related duties as assignedKEY COMPETENCIES: Knowledge, Proficiency of Acquired Skills, Aptitude, CapabilityUnderstanding of basic production, warehouse, or assembly processesAwareness of quality standards and the importance of accuracy and consistencyGeneral familiarity with electronic or mechanical equipment handling (training provided)Ability to follow step-by-step work instructions and standard operating proceduresAccurate data entry and documentation skillsEffective use of basic tools, fixtures, and computer systems required for production trackingStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to learn new processes and adapt to changing production needsDependable and self-motivated with a strong work ethicAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environmentAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamAbility to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and focusREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience, Education, Certifications, SkillsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 1 year of experience in a production, warehouse, manufacturing, or assembly environment preferredAbility to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructionsBasic computer skills, including data entry and system navigationStrong attendance and reliabilityAbility to work assigned shift and overtime as required by business needsPHYSICAL DEMANDS – WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
