Buyer 1 Onsite Role at Austin TX.Duration: 12 months Contract JOB DUTIES:Requires experience buying small component parts, hard's and wires and cables. Needs familiarity with the standard distribution suppliers. MRP experience preferred. Knowledge of a PO system (no specific one required). Ensures timely order placement of product or service requirements from pre-selected sources of supply. Issues releases against pre-established blanket purchase orders. Provides follow-up information on delivery schedule status. Prepares and maintains reports and files. Provides general assistance to Buyers and Section Managers in routine purchasing activities. Performs other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:Minimum of 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience; Requires knowledge of purchasing systems and procedures; Word processing and spreadsheet skills highly desirable; Electronic component experience, preferred
