Machinist

Open Loop Energy is a full service repair company with testing and manufacturing capabilities, specializing in heavy duty hydraulics. Large hydraulic cylinders, suspensions, pumps, motors, and valves of any manufacture are routinely repaired, tested, and remanufactured at Open Loop Energy facilities. Repairs and rebuilds are assembled and tested to meet or exceed OEM specifications. Duties: - Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments - Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications - Use power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines - Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment - Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy - Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve production processes - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Proven experience as a machinist or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of tooling, including selection, setup, and maintenance - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
