Role DescriptionThe Associate Attorney will work full time on-site in the firm’s Hackensack, NJ office. The role involves assisting in pending business, home owner association, construction and estate litigation matters, as well as transactions. Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills, be highly motivated, and be a team player. The opportunity allows for future development of Associate's own book of business and practice, while learning, developing and honing necessary skills. The Associate will also prepare and review legal documents, represent clients in legal proceedings, and collaborate closely with other team members to develop effective strategies for positive outcomes.Responsibilities include:Manage, with team, a diverse caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolutionDraft and argue motionsConduct and defend depositions, including expert depositionsPrepare pleadings, discovery, and trial materialsContribute to a collaborative and growth-oriented teamParticipate in client meetings, negotiations, and court appearances (as applicable)QualificationsJuris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in the state of New JerseyPrevious experience in the legal field required. Experience with motion practice, brief writing, case analysis, discovery demands and response pleadings. Litigation experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of legal principles and practicesExperience in Legal research, analysis and writing. Strong written communication skills for drafting legal documents and oral communication skills for interacting with clients and courts.Detail-oriented and highly organized to manage case files and meet deadlines effectivelyThe annualized salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000.
