Job TitleSupport StaffJob DescriptionProvides support and assistance to those responsible for case processing and coordination of judicial activities in the Colorado Judicial Department. Positions in this classification are distinguished from other classifications by the performance of routine, repetitive work with close supervision and limited decision-making. Incumbents will perform job functions that support those involved in case processing and coordination of cases for the court. Positions in this classification will perform some, but not the full range of functions in the Clerks' Office or Division, and shall be limited to file maintenance, processing mail, serving as bailiff and/or as a receptionist.Examples of work include filing, copying materials, scanning documents, serving as a receptionist, preparing the courtroom for proceedings, maintaining an orderly courtroom, and may include some data entry. Provides customer service. May occasionally require travel.This position will work in the jury department for the 7th Judicial District. Travel throughout the district will be required and the schedule may require hours outside of the regular work week. This position is a periodic hourly position and there is not a set weekly schedule. More than one position may be filled from this posting. No formal supervisory responsibility. Responsible for one's own work.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee frequently is required to stand; sit; reach with hands and arms; and perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high precarious places. Occasionally handles emergency or crisis situations; frequently subject to interruptions, and multiple calls and inquiries.
