GeoSnake is designed for the shift from traditional SEO to GEO, helping businesses prepare for a future where customers rely on AI assistants for direct answers and recommendations.Role Description The (Lovable) Backend Developer at GeoSnake | AI Optimization is a part-time remote role focused on building and maintaining the systems that power GEO analytics and reporting. This role involves designing and implementing APIs, integrating with external AI and data services, optimizing database queries, and ensuring reliable data ingestion and processing pipelines. The backend developer will collaborate with product and frontend teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure backend solutions and support new features related to AI visibility tracking. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, tested code, monitoring performance and reliability, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to architectural decisions that support growth and experimentation in the GEO space.Qualifications Server-side development experience with modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, or similar) and RESTful or GraphQL API design.Database skills covering schema design, query optimization, and work with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).Experience with data processing pipelines, integrations with third-party APIs, and handling structured and unstructured data at scale.Knowledge of cloud platforms and devops practices, such as containerization (Docker), CI/CD workflows, and monitoring/logging tools.Understanding of AI/LLM ecosystems, SEO or digital marketing concepts, and interest in Generative Engine Optimization is highly beneficial.Strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and comfort working asynchronously in a remote, part-time environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; startup or product-focused experience is a plus.
