Assistant General Counsel – Real Estate Development & Finance
A leading national owner/operator in the senior living and hospitality space seeks a business-minded Assistant General Counsel to support its real estate and development team on sophisticated, high-value transactions.
This is a highly visible, transactional role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on complex, high-value projects across a growing platform. Local candidates highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on a broad range of real estate and development matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures
Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, LOIs, management agreements, and related commercial contracts
Oversee title/survey diligence and support deal execution from start to finish
Partner with business teams to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice
Support ongoing asset management and general corporate matters
Qualifications
6+ years of strong experience with real estate transactions and financing structures; joint venture experience is a plus (position not appropriate for leasing expert)
Demonstrated business judgment and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Prior experience in senior living and/or the hospitality industry is a plus
