Rooted in ancient healing traditions and modern wellness, Tierra Santa offers a holistic, guest-centered approach to well-being. The Spa Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional massage and body treatments while creating a personalized, restorative, and elevated guest experience. This role combines advanced technical skills with refined guest interaction, ensuring each treatment reflects Faena New York's luxury wellness standards. The Massage Therapist serves as a trusted wellness professional, guiding guests through treatments, aftercare, and recommendations with professionalism and care.This position has an hourly compensation of $20 per hour.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform all massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and service standardsConduct thorough guest consultations to assess preferences, physical conditions, and treatment goalsCustomize pressure, technique, and flow to meet individual guest needsDeliver calm, intuitive, and results-driven massage experiencesEducate guests on treatment benefits, aftercare, and wellness recommendationsSupport VIP guests and bespoke wellness experiences as requestedMaintain consistency in treatment timing, quality, and presentationUphold the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and guest safetyFollow all protocols related to treatment techniques, products, and equipmentMaintain professional demeanor, discretion, and guest confidentiality at all timesPrepare, stock, and reset treatment rooms before and after each serviceMonitor product and linen usage and communicate needs to spa leadershipMaintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and back-of-house areasAssist with service recovery by addressing guest feedback professionally and promptlyWork collaboratively with spa leadership and fellow therapists to ensure smooth daily operationParticipate in ongoing training, education, and service standard updates Represent the spa with poise, professionalism, and brand alignmentSupport a culture of respect, teamwork, and wellness excellenceQualificationsValid New York State Massage Therapy License (required)25 years of professional massage therapy experience, preferably in a luxury spa or hotel environmentProficiency in multiple modalities (e.g., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal, Myofascial)Strong knowledge of anatomy, body mechanics, and therapeutic techniquesCommitment to guest-centered, results-driven serviceSkillsAdvanced massage technique with intuitive guest careStrong consultation and communication skillsCalm, grounded, and professional presenceAttention to detail and service consistencyAbility to manage physical demands while maintaining qualityProfessional discretion and emotional intelligencePhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentEndure various physical movements throughout the work areasAbility to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spacesRemain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shiftMedium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
