Senior Corporate Compliance Consultant

The Senior Consultant, Regulatory Change Management is responsible for executing regulatory change management processes to support enterprise compliance across all jurisdictions and product lines. This role evaluates enacted laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance, determines potential business impact, and facilitates alignment between regulatory requirements and business operations.This position operates as an experienced individual contributor, applying independent judgment to analyze regulatory changes, conduct research, and provide clear, actionable guidance to stakeholders. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.Scope & ImpactSupports enterprise-wide compliance across all applicable jurisdictions and business linesManages a high-volume portfolio of regulatory changes with varying levels of complexity and riskEnsures regulatory obligations are identified, communicated, and tracked to completionundefinedKey ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Intake & MonitoringMonitor regulatory sources (e.g., trade associations, Departments of Insurance, Legal, Government Affairs) for new and emerging regulatory activity.Review enacted legislation, regulations, and bulletins to determine enterprise applicability.Ensure timely entry and documentation of all applicable items in the RCM system (e.g., Jira or equivalent).Maintain accurate intake dates, regulatory effective dates, and supporting documentation. Applicability Assessment & RoutingEvaluate regulatory changes to determine potential impact to products, operations, or business functions.Identify and assign to business contacts and stakeholders.Determine appropriate classification (e.g., Action Required, Informational, Not Applicable).Provide clear, concise summaries of regulatory requirements to support business understanding. Governance, Tracking & OversightMonitor assigned regulatory items through the full lifecycle—from intake to resolution.Track status, follow-ups, and completion of action plans to ensure compliance deadlines are met.Escalate risks, delays, or gaps in response or implementation.Ensure data quality, completeness, and audit readiness of all RCM records. Stakeholder PartnershipPartner with business areas to support applicability determination, action planning, and implementation tracking.Collaborate closely with Legal and Government Affairs to clarify regulatory intent and interpretation.Serve as a point of contact for regulatory change inquiries across the enterprise.Facilitate communication of regulatory changes through structured notifications and reporting. Regulatory Research ResponsibilitiesConduct regulatory research in response to business inquiries (e.g., product, underwriting, claims, operations, etc).Partner with Legal to validate interpretations and ensure alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements.Maintain and update 51-jurisdiction surveys / regulatory inventories to reflect current laws, rules, and regulatory expectations.Track changes across jurisdictions and proactively identify emerging trends or impacts to the business.Support ad hoc research requests including, but not limited to:Product development or changesMarket conduct concerns or complaintsRegulatory exams or inquiriesInternal audit or compliance reviews Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Compliance, Legal Studies, Risk Management, or related field.4–7+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, legal research, or regulatory change management.Strong understanding of P&C insurance regulatory environment.Demonstrated ability to analyze laws/regulations and assess business impact.Experience working with workflow or case management systems (e.g., Jira, Onspring, or similar).
