Ice Cream Server/Cashier

Position Overview: The Sweetest Thing is hiring team members for the busy season. This position is ideal for responsible high school students and individuals looking for a fast-paced, customer-focused job. You must be dependable, willing to learn, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Basic Requirements Must be 16 years or older Friendly and respectful attitude with customers and coworkers Ability to perform basic math and handle payments Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Able to follow directions and take initiative when tasks need to be done Availability Expectations Must be available evenings and weekends Must be able to work 2–3 shifts per week Availability during summer and peak season is required Schedule changes should be limited to emergencies Punctuality and reliability are essential Job Duties Greet customers and take orders politely and accurately Scoop ice cream and prepare menu items (sundaes, milkshakes, floats, etc.) Operate the register and handle payments correctly Keep work areas clean and organized throughout the shift Wash dishes and follow food safety guidelines Restock cones, toppings, cups, and supplies Complete opening and closing tasks as assigned Stay productive when working alone and communicate clearly when working with teammates Who Succeeds in This Job Shows up on time and ready to work Stays busy without being told what to do Works well with others during busy shifts Keeps a positive attitude under pressure Takes pride in doing a job well Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $7.25 per hour Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid training Application Question(s): Are you at least 16 years old?
