Office Administrative ServicesTechnical and Trade SchoolsEmployment ServicesBusiness Support ServicesOther Professional, Scientific, and Technical ServicesJob DescriptionUnder the supervision from the Service Manager, the Embedded Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems including network, surveillance cameras, servers, and NVRs, access control systems hardware (boards) and software, and/or audio-visual systems. The Field Service Technician II participates in Premise One’s on-call service program and requires a self-starter who is proficient in low voltage technical systems yet brings outstanding customer service skillset. The position requires a heavy understanding of the troubleshooting, service, and repair of low voltage physical security surveillance and access control systems. In addition, The Embedded Service Technician will be a dedicated resource, requiring collaboration and communication with client leadership and staff.Responsibilities and Duties:Works safely, with ability to conduct pre-work site walks and safety assessments. Provides outstanding Customer Service and maintains the highest service standards. Exemplifies leadership in the field to ensure first visit resolutions are met. Executes project or job plans while maintaining quality assurance and safety. Be a self-sufficient performer and able to make decisions in the field. Performs troubleshooting, service, and repair of low voltage systems in commercial and/or enterprise environments. Tests all repairs made on site in accordance with Service Operations and Engineering policies. Accurately records all work (notes, pictures, communications) daily in online tickets and timecards. Takes part in the normal on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service. Maintains the issued company vehicle to the standards set forth by the company. Always maintains a professional appearance and demeanor. Adheres to client location standards for uniform, identification, and security protocol. Provides suggestions for improved field service to Field Superintendent or Service Manager. Communicates scheduling issues with Field Superintendent, Service Manager, and/or dispatchers. Collaborates with on-site client leadership and trades to ensure quality of work and timelines. Performs related services as required on site. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications:5+ years of experience in Audio Visual, Security, Intercom/Paging, and Infrastructure CablingUnderstanding of programming and technical commissioning guidelines. Prefer candidate who has a strong physical security background. Utilize test equipment including a Fluke tester, meter and OTDR. Familiarity with industry tools and equipmentUnderstands industry tools and equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Understand troubleshooting philosophies and procedures. Understand relay logic and troubleshooting. Must have clean driving record and current state driver’s license.
