Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Ruby and Python Software Developer who will be responsible for developingmonitoring and automation solutions for SkyHigh Operations and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will beself-motivated, articulate, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced development environment. Your primarymission as a Ruby and Python Software Developer is working closely with the Technical Operations and Engineering teams, to ensure the timely delivery of robust monitoring and automation solutions for SkyHighsystems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby and Python code
- Develop and maintain monitoring and automation solution for Operations and Engineering projects thateliminate repetitive tasks and prevent incident occurrence
- Work with Engineering and Technical Operations team to identify and implement improvements in thecurrent system and application monitoring solutions
- Help maintain code quality, organization and automation
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of the Ruby and Python languages
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
- A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby and Python code
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Experience with source control tools such as GIT/GitHub, SVN, or Perforce
- Familiarity with continuous integration
