Cloud Etl EngineerApex Systems has an opening for a Cloud ETL Engineer with a premier Fortune 500 client in Cincinnati, OH!The Data Management group within P&C IT specializes in data movement & integration between disparate systems, utilizing a range of technologies including traditional ETL, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) & XML messaging, industry standards-based bulk file transfers (ACORD), Azure, Snowflake and other cloud-based technologies, and a platform supporting direct data entry into the warehouse.The ETL Team is looking for a Cloud ETL Engineer to build complex solutions across on-prem and Cloud technologies as we transition to an Azure based Data Lake. Support of the business, through continued enhancement of "legacy" solutions while porting the same tools to new Azure platform will be critical. The person who applies for this position should have a unique blend of soft skills, analytical skills, technical skills, and agility. They are proactive, dependency-aware and can transition seamlessly between a holistic, enterprise perspective and a critical attention to detail. The ideal candidate will quickly acquire an understanding of the business and data landscape.Responsibilities:Acts as a liaison between different technical groups such as security, infrastructure and moreDevelopment within an Informatica based ETL architectureWork on complex ETL requirements and designCollaborate with ETL Architects and senior designers to create performant and scalable solutions that meet the business needsConduct impact assessment of developed solutionsPerform an active role in shaping and enhancing overall ETL Informatica architectureImplement ETL process and architecture improvements; Seeks continuous improvement of performance and securityCreates and maintains documentation of the solutions for future reference and supportabilityKeeps supportability of the solutions top of mindAdhere to development standardsResolve difficult design and development issuesParticipate in requirements refinement, design and testing phasesPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Proficient analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking & communication skillsReceived Training on or have been exposed to Informatica Cloud Services (CDI, CAI, CMI, and CDIe)Well versed in development standards for PowerCenter and IICSCloud exposure preferably in Azure and/or SnowflakeAdept in relational data base tools, including SQLProficient oral, written, and interpersonal skillsAbility to self-manage and stay on track with commitments; resourceful in solving problems and removing impedimentsCapability to think creatively, champion new ideas and challenge the status quoAdaptable and effectively cope with rapidly changing business landscapeExperience:5+ years of related experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Integration Development1+ years of related experience in Cloud developmentBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
