Our reliable product development and launch capability, coupled with our global footprint, make us a trusted partner for customers in the aerospace, hydraulic cylinders, flooring, textile, and geo components industries.Learn more about the history of Leggett: https://leggett.com/historyLearn more about Bedding Components: L&P Bedding GroupOverviewContribute to Sterling Steel safely producing high quality products at the lowest cost byProviding IT support to Manager and all network users.Responsibilities & DutiesProvide IT support to all network users (Employees, Managers and Contractors)Attend to issues in person for end users in office and millsRespond timely to questions sent via email or phone Install and maintain programs and updates Troubleshoot Windows, network, hardware and any other IT-related issues Setup, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment Manage user accounts, access and permissions Maintain IT inventoryConduct basic IT training for end users Create and delete user accounts according to policiesCommunicate professionally with employees, Corporate IT, Contractors and Vendors Participate in quarterly inventory Assist contractors with use of company networks, software and hardwareContact service vendors to schedule required serviceAssist IT Manager with projects/initiatives as neededRespond to internal and external audit request Continually expand knowledge of SSC, its departments and the steel business Provide off-hours technical support as neededCover some IT Manager job duties during planned and unplanned absencesReport to work as scheduledFollow all related SJPsAdhere to all PoliciesComply with all SSC Safety rulesFamiliarize self with SSC Admin Offices, Rod Mill & Melt Shop in order to safely travel independently to any area when required All other duties as assignedExperience/Education/Skill/Knowledge3+ years of related experience including troubleshooting hardware and software issuesPrior work in heavy industrial setting helpfulDegree or Certificate in computer science field preferred Willing and able to learn quickly, retain and apply new information Possess Training skills to work with employees are all areas of the workforceProven ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyEnthusiastic and self-motivated approach to workPositive, outgoing customer-service oriented personalityAbility to effectively read, write, understand, and otherwise communicate in English Strong knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows and Office products, networking, and PC hardware requiredPhysical DemandsMobility to move to any area of Rod Mill and Melt Shop and administrative offices, including safely traversing up and down stairsSpending approximately 30% of time in extreme hot and cold temperatures wearing required PPEAble to sit for long periods of time in office settingDexterity to type on keyboard and operate necessary tools/machineryLift up to 50 pounds occasionallyTool/Machines/Equipment UsedComputerPhoneCopier/ScannerPrinterQMS RequirementsLearn and follow Company Quality Policy & Mission StatementInitiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity related to product, process, and the system.Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system.Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.Verify the implementation of solutions.Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.What To Do NextNow that you’ve had a chance to learn more about us, what are you waiting for!
