Engineering Project Manager
The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the product launch schedule, overseeing physical designs, prototypes, and testing, and ensuring smooth coordination between design, engineering, and manufacturing teams for new product launches. This role will also involve hosting regular stand-up meetings to ensure project progress, managing 3rd party testing agencies, and holding project owners accountable for deadlines and deliverables.
Job Duties:
Maintain Product Launch Schedule: Oversee the entire product launch timeline, from initial design to prototype development, testing, and final manufacturing. Ensure all steps are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Manage Design & Engineering Work: Assist in managing design and engineering tasks, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product development aligns with company goals and timelines.
Coordinate Manufacturing Launch: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure new products are launched smoothly and any issues are addressed promptly.
Host Stand-Up Meetings: Facilitate daily or weekly stand-up meetings to track project progress, identify roadblocks, and hold project owners accountable for their responsibilities.
Manage 3rd Party Testing & Validation: Coordinate with external testing agencies to ensure that products are tested and validated according to schedule and industry standards.
Cross-Functional Communication: Act as the key point of contact between engineering, design, manufacturing, and other departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in project management, especially in engineering or product development environments.
Strong understanding of design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.
Experience managing 3rd party agencies for testing and validation.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
