A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for onsite employment in Kendallville, IN, serving elementary students at an established school. This role focuses on providing specialized support to students in grades K-6, primarily those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), requiring expertise in applied skills and individualized intervention.Key Responsibilities:Deliver tailored instruction to K-6 students with mild to intense special education needs.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students, with an emphasis on applied skills.Collaborate with school staff and families to foster student growth and inclusion.Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to meet diverse learning needs.Qualifications:Valid Special Education Teaching license with Mild or Intense Intervention endorsement.Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably with Autism Spectrum Disorder.Strong skills in applied behavioral and educational interventions.Ability to manage a caseload and maintain detailed documentation.Work Details:Location: Kendallville, IN 46755 (Wayne Center Elementary)Term: ASAP start through end of school year, with potential for permanent hire or renewal for extended school year and next school year.Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM daily.This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives through focused special education support in an onsite school environment.
