Shipper/Reciever Associate
Shipping/Receiving Associate (2nd Shift)Join as a Shipping/Receiving Associate, responsible for efficient and accurate material movement within our distribution center. You will handle goods using powered industrial vehicles, manage paperwork and records, and ensure adherence to the highest safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities include:
Load/unload trucks; interface with carriers and sign bills of lading.
Process incoming shipments using SAP, packing lists, and barcode scanners.
Inspect and verify incoming products for accuracy; prepare and sort items for storage.
Safely put away products using equipment such as order pickers, turret trucks, and pallet jacks.
Break down/lump floor-loaded containers.
Pick products for customer/manufacturing orders and sample requests using pick tickets, scanners, and transport equipment.
Conduct bin/location audits and transfer cartons/units as needed.
Weigh or hand-count items to fulfill orders.
Pack orders according to SAP instructions; perform special packaging/labeling tasks.
Recognize and correctly handle hazardous/flammable materials.
Prepare shipments, create manifests/bills of lading, and coordinate carrier pickups.
Stretch-wrap or band unit load shipments; load or unload pallets/cartons.
Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift 5175 lbs. with assistance/equipment.
Stand/walk on concrete floors for extended periods; climb stairs/ladders up to 30 ft.
Perform repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and operate forklifts/order pickers.
Walk extended distances and work in confined spaces as needed.
Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, turret trucks, order pickers) safely.
Use SAP software, barcode scanners, and computers for inventory management.
Conduct equipment inspections and maintain safe control while elevated.
Wear steel-toed shoes and appropriate PPE; use harness/fall protection when required.
Follow all safety protocols, report incidents/unsafe conditions immediately.
Attend safety training and participate in safety/environmental activities.
Work in variable temperature (40F-90F), around machinery, dust, and potentially hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year experience in a high-volume distribution/logistics environment
Proficient with computers and SAP software
Experience with powered industrial trucks (forklift/order picker/turret truck)
Flexible to work 2nd shift, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
