Mid-Level Software Developer (Laravel + Python + AWS) – Hybrid Ann Arbor | Report Directly to CEOReady Signal is a high-growth SaaS company building the next generation of external data infrastructure for AI and predictive modeling. We automate the discovery, normalization, and delivery of high-value signals (economic, weather, demographic, and more) straight into business intelligence and forecasting pipelines.We’re hiring a mid-level Software Developer (3–6 years experience) who will have immediate ownership of our core platform.In the first 6 months you will:Lead optimization of our data pipeline (performance, scalability, reliability)Take new product prototypes and successfully integrate them into productionOwn break-fix and architecture improvements on our Laravel/PHP applicationThis is a high-visibility, high-impact role. You’ll report directly to the CEO, work alongside a very small team (1 Data Scientist + 1 Data Manager + 5 outsourced developers), and have real autonomy to ship meaningful work fast.This role is hybrid — 3 days per week in our Ann Arbor, MI office (in-person interviews required).What You’ll Do:Application Ownership & DevelopmentGain deep ownership of our core Laravel/PHP application and infrastructureDrive performance and scalability improvementsManage legacy code while building clean, scalable new featuresPrototype → ProductionIntegrate and deploy new application modules and product prototypes built by our outsourced teamWrite clean, well-documented code that directly supports business outcomesInfrastructure & PipelineSupport and improve our AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, RDS)Contribute to DevOps and deployment automationHelp evolve our data pipeline into a more robust, scalable systemRequired Qualifications3–6 years of software development experienceExperience with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.)Strong proficiency in Laravel/PHP or a solid OOP background (Java, C#, C++) with quick ability to ramp on PHPHands-on with Python (object-oriented usage and scaling)Real experience with AWS (especially EC2 and Lambda)Comfortable in Linux environments and basic DevOps practicesSelf-starter who thrives in a small, fast-moving startupNice-to-HavesBackground working with outsourced developersExposure to data-heavy applications, APIs, or analytics platformsWhat We OfferCompetitive base compensation + phantom stock (real upside participation in company growth)Discretionary PTOComprehensive health benefitsDirect line to the CEO and meaningful equity-like participationClear growth path into senior engineering or platform leadershipLocation & LogisticsAnn Arbor, MI (Hybrid – 3 days/week in-office).
