Detailed Job DescriptionEnd-to-End Transaction ExecutionOwn logistics execution after purchase orders are exchangedCoordinate shipment scheduling, carrier booking, and delivery confirmationEnsure all shipment details align with contractual terms (FOB, CIF, etc.)Track shipments from dispatch to completion and proactively manage delaysEnsure clean handoff to Accounting and Credit upon proof of deliveryFreight & Carrier ManagementManage relationships with 3PL providers and freight partnersNegotiate competitive freight rates and ensure pricing transparencyMonitor carrier performance and service reliabilityResolve freight disputes, damage claims, and service interruptionsImprove freight cost efficiency without compromising reliabilityOperational Systems & VisibilityMaintain accurate shipment tracking within Matium’s platformStandardize documentation processes (BOLs, delivery confirmations, invoices)Collaborate with Engineering to improve freight booking automationIdentify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvementsCross-Functional CoordinationPartner closely with Verified Agents to ensure transaction timelines are metCoordinate with Credit & Compliance to ensure insured shipment requirements are metWork with Accounting to reconcile freight costs and ensure timely settlementProvide real-time updates to suppliers and buyers during shipment lifecycleScalability & Process DesignBuild logistics workflows that scale with GMV growthImplement KPIs around on-time delivery, freight cost efficiency, and dispute resolutionDesign escalation protocols for high-value or time-sensitive transactionsImprove predictability and transparency across all shipmentsWhat Success Looks LikeHigh on-time delivery performanceClean settlement cycles with no logistics-related payment delaysReduced freight disputes and cost overrunsStrong carrier network reliabilityLogistics systems capable of supporting 10x volume growthDesired Skills & Requirements2+ years of experience in logistics, freight operations, or supply chain management ideal; Entry-level okayExperience managing 3PL relationships and carrier negotiationsStrong understanding of freight terms (FOB, CIF, etc.) and shipment documentationExperience operating in transaction-heavy environments preferredStrong organizational and execution disciplineAbility to manage multiple shipments simultaneously without loss of accuracyStrong communication skills across commercial and operational teamsComfortable operating in a high-growth, infrastructure-building environmentCompensationBase Salary: $55,000 – $75,000 (commensurate with experience)Performance-based bonus potentialEquity participationFull benefits packageOur Core ValuesWork SmartWe believe in thinking before acting.
