Purchasing Agent

Job Overview Britt Aero Purchasing Agents are responsible for researching and comparing the different vendors, suppliers, goods, and services used by Britt Aero. Purchasing Agents have the responsibility and opportunity to increase Britt Aero profits by selecting the highest quality, yet most cost-effective vendors and suppliers, based on customer and regulatory requirements. Using a commercial mindset, Purchasing Agents should be able to evaluate market conditions, and negotiate effectively with different vendors and suppliers, in order to maintain profitable relationships. Responsibilities Develop profitable purchasing strategies to purchase goods and services necessary for the effectiveness of Britt Aero. Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics. Ensure proper flow-down of requirements to vendors and suppliers based on customer and regulatory requirements. Manage relationships with suppliers to maintain quality goods, timely delivery, and competitive pricing. Keep detailed and up to date purchasing records, including but not limited to: Requisition Forms, and Purchase Orders Perform order and data entry in Britt Aero’s ERP system. Aid the Estimation Team in the creation and dispatch of quotations. Perform verification activities of purchase order delivery dates and pricing. Establish and maintain Britt Aero’s inventory system. Requirements Experience in negotiating prices as well as terms and conditions is preferred. Competent in the use of computers and various database programs, including but not limited to, JobBoss and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and exceptional organizational skills. Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
