Cloud Administrator/IaC Developer
Position DescriptionWe are building and maintaining modern, secure, scalable cloud environments that support mission critical government applications. As a Cloud Administrator & IaC Developer, you'll be at the center of that mission—designing resilient Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure, improving deployment automation, and applying DevSecOps best practices to ensure our teams can deliver high quality solutions with speed and confidence.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, takes pride in clean automation, and thrives in collaborative environments. You'll join a team that values continuous improvement, thoughtful engineering, and strong partnership with development, security, and operations stakeholders.This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.Your future duties and responsibilitiesYou will contribute to the design, automation, security, and daily operations of cloud infrastructure including:Cloud Administration & Operations Manage and support Azure services such as App Service, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Virtual Networks, Key Vault, and Entra ID. Configure and administer AWS environments and services within modern cloud ecosystems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to configuration, deployment, performance, network communication, and system availability.Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Design, build, and maintain IaC solutions using Terraform, OpenTofu, or similar tools. Ensure IaC modules follow best practices for reusability, security, compliance, and maintainability. Support environment provisioning, configuration standardization, and automation of infrastructure lifecycles.Monitoring, Observability & Reliability Implement and manage monitoring/observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and comparable AWS tools. Develop alerting, dashboards, and health checks to ensure system reliability and timely incident response.DevSecOps & CI/CD Support Support build and deployment automation processes and CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development and security teams. Apply best practices for least privilege, zero trust, redundancy, vulnerability remediation, and credential management. Assist teams with log interpretation, change management, and deployment troubleshooting.Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with developers, testers, product owners, cloud SMEs, and security teams to execute cross functional objectives. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, audience appropriate explanations. Contribute to documentation, architecture reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This RoleTechnical Experience Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a DevSecOps administrator, system administrator, cloud engineer, or similar role. Minimum 3 years of hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, OpenTofu, etc.). Minimum 3 years of experience with AWS cloud services. Two or more years of hands on Azure experience, specifically with App Service, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Virtual Networks, Key Vault, and Entra. Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics. Strong understanding of fundamental networking and database concepts. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, version control, build automation, and deployment automation.CertificationsAny of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or Azure Administrator Associate. AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional Terraform Authoring and Operations ProfessionalProfessional Skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex systems. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and tailor communication to technical and non technical audiences.Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
