Data Test Engineer

DATA TEST ENGINEER PHYSICIANS MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY DUTIES: Create and maintain automation scripts for new and existing tests. Execute automated tests for data related projects and validate the results, document problems and test results, and communicate findings to management. Write test cases and scripts to test the data deliverables based on data warehouse/data mart and ETL artifacts and store scripts and other deliverables in the testing repository. Provide estimated labor and determine product delivery schedules. Create and maintain test plans and strategies. Create test cases, test data, and test procedures to facilitate a quality implementation. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 4 years of prior professional work experience or, in the alternative, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 2 years of prior professional work experience. Prior professional work experience as an ETL/Data Programmer role or Data Test Engineer role. Experience with SQL/Python. Must have good understanding of the testing discipline as it applies to the Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
