About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented to join our small but dynamic team. In this hands-on role, you will process order fulfillment for our e-commerce customers. This role will entail everything from processing incoming orders to ensuring safe delivery and post-sale satisfaction. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to compliance and customer service. Potential to earn tips and bonuses.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and consultative practices.
Monitor and process incoming customer orders from our online store in a timely and accurate manner.
Verify customer age (must be 21+) through appropriate methods (e.g., reviewing provided ID information, following company compliance protocols) before fulfilling orders.
Carefully pack items according to company standards to ensure products arrive in excellent condition, including proper labeling and secure packaging.
Prepare and ship packages via designated carriers, including generating shipping labels, scheduling pickups, and tracking shipments.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, shipments, and any issues encountered.
Conduct follow-up contact with customers after delivery to confirm receipt, satisfaction, and address any concerns or feedback.
Assist with basic inventory management, restocking, and organization of the fulfillment area.
Identify and report any order discrepancies, shipping issues, or compliance concerns promptly.
Collaborate with the team to improve fulfillment processes and maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate's degree or some college coursework in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in e-commerce order processing, fulfillment, shipping/packing, customer service, or logistics (preferred but not required – we will train the right candidate).
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict compliance procedures, especially regarding age verification for restricted products.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously.
Comfortable using computers and basic software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, e-commerce platforms like Shopify, or order management systems).
Good communication skills for customer follow-up and internal team coordination (professional phone and written communication).
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality when handling customer information.
Physical ability to lift, pack, and move packages at least 50lbs.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with shipping platforms/carriers and creating labels/tracking.
Experience with age-restricted product handling or compliance processes.
Basic knowledge of inventory tools or e-commerce software.
Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to a growing business.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
