Overview
In this role you will support the TFDM program to integrate and operate air traffic management systems, helping modernize surface and terminal operations for the NAS. You will work within a cross-site team to deploy and sustain mission-critical infrastructure across multiple airports, including classified environments. The position combines software engineering with systems management, emphasizing automation, security, and scalable deployment. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient air traffic tooling that underpins NextGen capabilities.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the integration and operation of TFDM surface management systemsContribute to modernization and enhancement of air traffic management infrastructureAssist multi-site deployments across 89 airports with frequent travelDevelop and maintain automation workflows using Ansible, Python, and BashSupport CI/CD, release management, and IaC practicesMaintain Linux-based infrastructure (RHEL) and container environments (Podman/Docker)Manage network/configuration aspects and VM lifecycles in dev/test/prod environmentsOperate in a government-security environment requiring clearance readiness
