Ephraim, NJStart Date of Position June 9, 2026Grand Opening June 25, 2026Home Team Tavern is seeking an experienced, motivated Lead Line Cook / Sous Chef to help build and lead our kitchen team. This is a unique opportunity to join a brand-new sports bar/restaurant before opening and play a key role in developing kitchen systems, refining recipes, building the menu, and training the team.Required Station Experience:Candidates should have experience in most or all of the following stations:PizzaCrepeFryGrillSautéSushi experience is preferred but not required.Responsibilities:Assist with opening and kitchen setupHelp develop and execute a new menuRecruit, train, and mentor kitchen staffLead kitchen operations during serviceEnsure food quality, consistency, and presentation standardsAssist with inventory, ordering, and food cost controlMaintain sanitation and food safety standardsCoordinate ticket flow and kitchen communicationWork all stations as needed and lead by exampleQualifications:Minimum 3 years of high-volume kitchen experiencePrevious Lead Line Cook or Sous Chef experience preferredStrong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safetyAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and leadership skillsReliable transportation and strong attendance recordAvailable nights, weekendsAdvancement opportunitiesWhy Join Us?This is a rare opportunity to be part of a sports bar/restaurant from day one.
