About NetcomNetcom is a growing Telecommunications VAR (Value-Added Reseller) providing network and communication solutions, including connectivity, hardware, and voice platforms. We partner with major carriers and enterprise customers to deliver end-to-end solutions. The business is currently at $6M in revenue with a clear path to $10–15M+.We are looking for a hands-on Controller to take ownership of our financial operations and help us scale profitably.The RoleThis is a high-impact position responsible for building and managing the financial infrastructure of the business. You will work directly with ownership to improve visibility, enforce financial discipline, and support growth.This is not a passive accounting role. We are looking for someone who wants to build systems, improve processes, and contribute to business decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn monthly close and financial reportingMaintain accurate and timely financial statementsManage general ledger, AP/AR, and reconciliationsBuild and manage deal-level profitability trackingDevelop and enforce pricing and margin guardrailsAnalyze margins by customer, product line, and vendorDesign and manage commission tracking and payoutsForecast commission expensesManage cash flow, AR aging, and collectionsImprove workflows across quote → order → invoiceImplement and optimize systems (Zoho Books, CRM, Inventory)Develop forecasts and support strategic planningWhat Success Looks LikeAccurate and timely financial reportingClear visibility into profitability across the businessStrong control over commissions and marginsNo surprises in cash flowScalable systems that support growthQualifications5–10+ years of accounting/finance experienceExperience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar roleBackground in distribution, telecom, hardware, or VAR environments preferredStrong understanding of COGS, margins, and inventoryExperience with commission structuresSystems-oriented (Zoho, NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.)Detail-oriented, accountable, and proactiveCompensationBase Salary: $110,000-120,000Performance Bonus: Ability to accelerate based on performanceTotal Compensation: $120,000–$140,000+Growth OpportunityThis role is designed to grow with the company.
