Café & Event Crew Member - Part Time

Job SummaryAs a Café & Event Crew Member, you will work as part of our customer-facing and event support team at the SoccerPlex. This role includes preparing and serving food and beverages in the café, assisting Adult League Supervisors with check-in and scorekeeping, and supporting tournaments and special events with setup, cleanup, and miscellaneous tasks. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted position requiring flexibility, a positive attitude, and strong customer service skills.Responsibilities:Café ResponsibilitiesGreet customers, input orders into a point-of-sale system, and accept paymentsPrepare and serve food and beverages for consumption on-siteOperate café equipment including toaster oven, hot dog roller, nacho cheese & chips dispenser, and coffee machineMaintain cleanliness and organization of café and food prep areasEnsure the café is fully stocked and notify Café Manager of any shortagesMaintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with the SoccerPlex dress codeLeague & Event Support ResponsibilitiesAssist Adult League Supervisors with check-in for Adult 7v7 Soccer and Adult Basketball leaguesHelp with scorekeeping and operating the game clock during basketball gamesSupport tournaments and special events with setup, cleanup, and other miscellaneous tasks as neededEnsure event areas are clean, safe, and organizedProvide customer service to participants, referees, and team captainsQualifications and RequirementsMust be at least 16 years old and fluent in EnglishAbility to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environmentFlexible availability on Fridays and weekends, evenings as neededFriendly, professional, and customer-service orientedPrevious experience in food service, customer service, or event/league operations preferred but not requiredBilingual in Spanish and English preferredPreferred Skills and QualitiesPunctual, reliable, and responsibleStrong leadership and teamwork skillsPositive, energetic, and proactiveComfortable multitasking across café, league, and event dutiesDetail-oriented and organizedAdditional NotesEmployment contingent upon successful completion of a background checkSalary$16.00 - $16.50 per hour, based on experienceWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.Job Questions:Can you tell us a little bit about yourself please - and why you are interested in this job?!
