Company Description Sofia Art Academy of Miami offers art classes for children, teens, and adults, grounded in traditional, classical European art training. The academy focuses on realistic, rules-based art programs that build strong foundations in drawing and painting, supporting learners who aspire to careers in fine art, animation, game design, fashion design, or architecture. In addition to regular classes, the academy specializes in preparing young students for auditions and building art portfolios for magnet schools and art and design colleges. Adult students can follow the main program or work from customized learning plans aligned with their individual goals. Classes are semi-private rather than large group sessions, allowing for personalized scheduling and close instructor attention.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Art Teacher’s Assistant role based in North Miami Beach, FL. The Art Teacher’s Assistant supports lead instructors during semi-private drawing and painting classes for children, teens, and adults, ensuring a structured, safe, and encouraging studio environment. Daily responsibilities include setting up and organizing art materials, preparing classrooms, and helping students follow step-by-step classical techniques. The assistant will support lesson delivery by reinforcing demonstrations, providing individual guidance, and monitoring student progress. Additional tasks include assisting with lesson-related documentation, maintaining a clean studio space, helping manage schedules and attendance.QualificationsTrained in Traditional Drawing and Painting instruction in art education, including Teaching and Art Education skills.Ability to assist with structured lessons under the guidance of lead instructors.Proficiency in traditional Drawing and Painting techniques, in realistic academic styles.Strong communication, patience, and the ability to work effectively with children, teens, and adults in a studio setting.Bachelor degree in Fine Arts diploma required.Organizational skills, reliability in managing class setups and materials, and readiness to work on-site in North Miami Beach, FL.Prior experience in a teaching assistant, tutoring, or studio support role is beneficial.
