Soft Count Clerk

We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Soft Count Clerk to join our Riverstar Soft Count team! Summary:Collects all bill acceptors from electronic gaming machines and money canisters from Blackjack and Poker. Performs initial count and verification of collected monies from electronic gaming machines and turns these funds over to the vault. Responsibilities:Destroys used playing cards by using a machine to punch a hole in them Counts money collected for recording to ensure amounts are documented Counts paper and/or coin revenue Correctly transacts monetary exchanges Balances all accounts at the end of the shift in partnership with supervisor or manager Opens bill acceptors in the secured Soft Count room from electronic games and places the currency and ticket in ticket outs into the currency counter Completes appropriate documentation through appropriate computer system to be sent to accounting and delivers monies to vault area Takes currency and ticket in ticket out received from the kiosks and runs through the currency counter to separate the bill by denomination and send first count totals to Accounting Removes canisters from Blackjack, Poker and Electronic Game bill acceptors and places them on a secured cart to transport them to the secured Soft Count room for initial count and verification Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies:Essential: Ability to provide excellent customer service skills and assist both internal and external customers Able to follow instructions, both written and oral Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all matters Must be able to work quickly, efficiently and accurately Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Applies judgment to ensure monies are secure Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines Understand, utilize and apply cash handling knowledge Read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Title 31 subject matter Knowledge and understanding of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Skills:Essential: 10-key adding machine Experience:Essential: No prior experience required Education:Essential: High School, GED or Equivalent Credentials:Essential: Pass gaming background check Gaming license or permit as required by assigned position Pass Title 31 testing relevant to position Working Conditions:Essential: Casino May work where cigarette smoking occurs Bright and Flashing lights Fast-paced environment Noisy Team-oriented Communications written, verbal Operate normal office equipment Standing up to 100% of shift Walking up to 100% of shift Work is physically demanding Push/pull heavy carts or equipment of one or more types Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp Manual dexterity Repetitive motions Listening and hearing ability Visual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perception Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach Constantly lift and or carry up to 10 lbs Frequently lift and or carry up to 25 lbs Sometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbs Pushing/pulling canisters up to 50 lbs May work day shift May work evenings, weekends or holidays May be on-call May work rotating shifts Pass pre-employment drug test High traffic area where people may congregate Be aware of surroundings Must be able to work in close proximity to others Use of PPE is encouraged with the support of the facility and/or department Use computer up to 25% of shift Training *It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
