You know how to split a problem into classes without coupling everything together,and where to section things offStrong debugging skills, ability to narrow down the problem and trace it down without giving up, regardless of the source of the issueFamiliar with common design patterns and software architectures. Good judgement, and you plan out how to structure code before writing itAble to work independently at times. We will point you in the right direction, but you should be comfortable making good design decisions on your ownStrong understanding of Python, ability to write maintainable and extendable codeUnderstanding of multithreaded programs and principlesScripting experience for writing out test cases and one-off experimentsOrganized and detail-oriented, should document progress while workingComfortable with using Git and GitHubGood coding etiquette and solid communication skillsNice to haveExperience writing hardware drivers and/or controlling lab equipmentGUI development experience, specifically PyQt6Any hands-on lab or hardware background, or at least a desire to learn about hardware and electronics as development progressesHardware communication protocols (I2C, SPI, etc)
