Senior Client Manager- Commercial LinesKastendike Insurance GroupBe part of a winning team that leads the way as a Best Practices Agency in Insurance!The OpportunityBased out of the Hunt Valley, MD office, this full-time Senior Client Manager position is central to the Kastendike division's Commercial Lines team of Maury, Donnelly, & Parr. The individual in this role will acts as team leader, responsible for managing and coordinating all team accounts.This position is considered full-time, in-person for the 1st 90 days and then there's opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages assigned accounts; analyzes accounts for adequacy and appropriate coverage. Prepares proposals, analysis and summaries as needed.Solicits business from potential clients, completes sales and routes documents for processing, opens and services new accounts.Markets the account and reviews marketing placements.Builds long-term advisory relationship with clients, manages claims and related issues.Reviews upcoming renewals 120 days out and sets the course of action by scheduling the team renewal meetings monthly; initiates renewal procedures.Identifies cross/up selling opportunities. Expands and rounds out existing accounts by identifying potential gaps in coverage, recommending and implementing proper coverage.Keeps the team informed of the carrier’s appetites and pricing changes. Attends carrier meetings and disseminates information to the team.Responsible for making sure that all the terms and conditions of the insurance policies are properly prepared.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certificates, licenses and registrations required: State Property and Casualty Insurance License.Computer skills required: Applied Systems: Epic Online Database software; Microsoft Office Suite.COMPETENCIES:Ethics - Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values.Adaptability - Adapts well to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance.Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Keeps emotions under control; Treats others with respect and consideration; Maintains confidentiality; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written informationPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Occasionally required to stand/walk; frequently required to sit; continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity and to talk or hear. At MDP, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
