Overview In this multi-disciplinary role, you will primarily engineer database systems while contributing to software development and systems administration. You design, implement, and optimize database architectures, models, and metadata, and ensure reliable backup and replication. You will build Ansible automation for patching with minimal downtime and develop shell tooling to support database management and operations. This role operates in a high-security, enterprise environment and requires solving complex data and automation challenges. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain database management systems, including modeling, architecture, and repository configurationWrite and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers for performance and scalabilityImplement backup and database replication solutions, including master-master configurationsDevelop, maintain, and patch Ansible automation artifacts to update operational assets with minimal downtimeCreate and maintain shell scripts and tooling to support database management and other operationsPerform patching of Linux and Windows systems at OS and application levelsTroubleshoot and repair replication issues in distributed database environmentsApply domain knowledge of enterprise-level, multi-site planning systems and related architectures Key requirementsExperience with database design and managementActive TS/SCI clearanceMinimum 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhDExperience patching Linux and Windows systems (OS and application patches)Direct experience troubleshooting and repairing master-master replicationDeep UNIX/Linux shell scripting expertise and automationDomain knowledge of enterprise multi-site planning systems and relevant architecturesSQLStored proceduresTriggersDatabase replicationAnsibleShell scripting
